Our infant program has 6 spots where we provide at least a 1 to 4 worker to child ratio. The daily schedule and routine includes play-based learning, a variety of staff directed and individual activities, hygiene, as well as included in the fees breakfast, healthy snack and lunches prepared in-house.
Our infant program encourages a meaningful, and nurturing connection in safe and calm environment. It focuses on all three areas : fine motors/gross motor, social/emotional, language and cognitive.
Fine motors/gross motor. Infants love fine motors activities. As infants try new skills and master them - crawling, standing, walking, running - our child workers encourage their independence by providing them with more challenging, new, exciting toys, activities and material to explore in a safe and fun way.
Social/emotional. We love how babies explore new emotions, child workers create loving and respectful relationships with babies to help infants regulate their attention, emotions, and behaviour, and to form positive relationships with adults and their peers.
Language and Cognitive. What can be more exciting than hearing infants saying their first words . To promote and encourage language and cognitive development, the child workers use direct communication with infants to encourage communication with their peers. Additionally, the staff implements variety of activities , uses music, has story time where greater focus goes on non-science fiction books with humans, animals, plants etc. with variety of illustration and photographs.
