PRESCHOOL

Our preschool program has 18 spots where we provide at least 1 to 10 child-worker to child ratio. The daily schedule and routine include's play-based learning, a variety of staff-directed and individual activities, including a greater focus on academic activities that will prepare children for kindergarten, hygiene, as well as included in the fees breakfast, healthy snacks and lunches prepared in-house.

Our preschool program encourages a meaningful and nurturing connection in a safe and calm environment. It focuses on all three areas: fine motor/gross motor, social/emotional, language and cognitive.

Fine motor/gross motor

 Preschoolers are overflowing with energy, and its our job to put it in the right direction and get the most out of it. Therefore, child-workers implement a variety of large motor activities to promote balance, muscle strength, stability, posture, and coordination, variety of engaging small and large group games. Additionally, the child-worker implements a variety of sensory activities to stimulate children's senses, curiosity, exploration and creativity. Moreover, child worker teaches and encourages independence during basic skills, such as feeding, dressing up and undressing, hygiene, etc., to prepare preschoolers for a smooth transition to kindergarten.

Social/emotional. 

Preschoolers' age is such an amazing time to create a life-lasting friendship. The staff will implement a variety of interactive games and activities that will promote preschoolers' social life with their peers and child workers, as well as encourage independent exploration and creation of their social circle. The staff will promote independence for regulating preschoolers' attention, emotions and behaviours and provide support with the regulations when needed. 

Language and Cognitive

The staff implements a variety of language and cognitive activities. The staff implements a variety of activities and games that incorporates music, art, culture and science to help children learn and understand themselves more and the world around them. Furthermore, during circle time, children learn new songs, phrases and words about various appropriate and interesting topics, which is followed by story time where the greater focus goes on science, behavioural, space, etc. books with humans, animals, plants etc., with variety of illustration and photographs. Additionally, at this stage, we introduce and put greater focus on writing letters and words, as well as independent reading with active supervision and assistance when needed to prepare children for a smooth transition to kindergarten.
